My Morning Routine

I wasn’t able to become a real morning person yet but the thing is I love mornings. The sound of the birds singing, fresh air, seeing the people on the street going to work… It makes me feel alive. And because I do believe that how you start your day it goes like this, the morning routines are the most important part of my days. So here are some of the things that I prefer to start my day with.

 

1) Reading

Before even I go to the bathroom, as soon as I’m able to open my eyes properly I grab my Kindle and read 5%. Kindle shows you how many percentages you have already read from the book so let’s say I have already read 10% of the book, then I read till it is 15%.
I noticed that when I read a book before I start my day, I’m calmer and more organized during the day.

 

 

2) Yoga and Meditation

2-3 times a week I make yoga before my breakfast. It helps to clear my mind and feel energized. And 10 minutes of meditation is in my everyday routine. I feel more connected and positive afterward.

 

 

3) Skincare Routine

My skin and body are important for me because I will be living in it for a long time. That’s why it is important to get hydrated skin. After I drink 500ml water, I do apply Neutrogena Hydro Boost Aqua Gel with hyaluronic acid on my face and neck. I also do not forget to massage my face and eyelids with my jade roller.

 

 

4) Coffee

I’m a coffee person. I hated coffee for a long time but after I got used to it, I can’t get my mornings through without it. Thankfully we have an automatic coffee machine in our flat. I do not prefer to drink coffee as soon as I get up, because it affects my meditation, and if I do, my yoga routine. Caffein is not recommended before relaxation practices.

 

 

5) Breakfast

I can’t start the day if I don’t have breakfast. It doesn’t have to be a big meal, sometimes just a piece of fruit but most of the time scrambled eggs. I can’t eat any other kinds of eggs so every time I make an omelet with cheese. I prefer not to eat more than one slice of bread.

 

 

6) Smoothie

I really love smoothies of any type. They are delicious and healthy. I mix 1 banana, 1 orange, and frozen berries, sometimes also some peanut butter. It makes me feel more healthy during the day and I’m kind of against vitamin supplies, as long as I get enough vitamins from fruits and vegetables.

 

 

7) Time for blogging

Then I start to check my blog, emails and social media notifications. It is important for me only after this routine to check my phone because if I do it before, then the day starts really unproductive for me.

 

 

So the day has started! I feel energized, blessed, healthy and organized. As long as I’m happy how the day has started, I’m happy for the rest of the day. These are simple hacks but work really well on me.
